If you are in the market for a new toaster, go no further until you read my review of the Hamilton Beach 24559 Toaster. I bought this toaster three years ago after some very frustrating experiences with different toasters that didn't toast evenly or consistently. It has been a very reliable toaster and has held up great over these years. It gets a lot of use with my family of six.
My favorite things about this toaster:
oEvenly toasts entire piece of bread/bagel
oWide slots hold large bagels and big slices of bread - I like to make homemade bread and the large slices fit
oAll the features (defrost, reheat, bagel) work very well - my favorite is the bagel feature
oDurable (my one year old has roughed it up a bit and it still works great)
oStylish - the chrome with black trim is very appealing on my counter top
oEasy to adjust the settings to just get the toast just the way I like it
Drawbacks:
oSize - the four slice version is a little bulky so if you're tight on space you may want to consider the two slice version of this same toaster
oFood removal - I would recommend buying some bamboo tongs because it can be hard to get the English muffin or bagel out of the slots.
I have been using this 4 slice Hamilton Beach Toaster for over three years. I think it is a great toaster and very reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new toaster.
