I love waffles. I love Mickey Mouse. But then again, who doesn't like those two things? I can't name a single person who has a vendetta against Mickey or a stack of waffles. So, when I heard that there was a waffle iron that made waffles in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head, I knew I could not pass up this opportunity to have a once in a lifetime piece of history in my home.
I enjoy making breakfast for my family every weekend without distractions of any sort: no cell phones, internet, friends, TV or mp3 players are allowed. When my children were a bit younger, they loved the breakfasts and would stop at nothing to come downstairs for one. But now that they have grown, they don't enjoy the breakfasts as much as they did. So I decided that I should buy a Mickey Mouse waffle iron to maybe get my children interested again. Mickey Mouse was their favorite cartoon character after all, especially after we took the best family trip ever: Disney World. Ever since then, we all have a little Mickey Mouse loving going on. That is why it made so much time to buy one. But I couldn't stop at just one.
After I had bought my first Mickey Mouse waffle iron, I was watching a local newscast and they showed a gentleman who had a cartoon memorabilia collection that included characters that we all know and love. One of the things in his collection was an old Snoopy toaster, which if he wanted to, he could have sold for thousands of dollars on his very miniscule investment. The man said that he never used the toaster a single time; instead he just kept it sitting in his home like a piece of art in a museum. I decided that maybe I should do the same thing. After all, the Mickey Mouse waffle iron that I bought was relatively inexpensive and it wouldn't be such a bad return on investment for me or my children. So now I have two: one for my family to cook with and one on display in our game room. It's also a great conversation piece!
As you can see, a Mickey Mouse waffle iron has been one of the wisest things that I have ever bought for my family. Maybe you could do the same with you and your loved ones.
